Did you know that in celebration of
National Doughnut Day (June 5) you can go here:
and get one of these:
absolutely free?
Yes, free. No extra purchase required. And yes, you can go through the drive-thru and no, you can't say "I have 25 kids at home, can I have 25 free ones?" One doughnut per actual person.
Now, didn't your day just get a little bit better? (Unless of course, you're reading this on June 6th or later. In that case, sorry, but mark your calendar for next year!)
PS: I like the effect of photographing the doughnuts next to the wheat. It has the effect of making them look a whole lot healthier, don't you think?

Oh, I wish I wasn't reading this on June 6th! Darn! Oh well, my waistline thanks me for not reading yesterday. I will mark it for next year, though. Never heard of National Doughnut Day. Thanks for the heads up. My children thank you, too.
Arrgh... today is the 6th! That is pretty funny about the wheat though!
RIght now I'm just picturing "whole wheat" donuts . . .
Rats! I missed it! Donuts are one of my most favorite treats. And if you live in the valley, you really need to try LaMar's Donuts. Its quite a drive--up off of the I-17 and Bell, but if you are ever that direction you should give it a try! They open early and close when they sell out of donuts--usually around 11 or 12.
Oh, and if anyone does stop...could I beg you to get a blueberry cake and a maple iced raised for me? Sigh. Good thoughts.
