My Kids Meet the Classics

The kids pulled out a "Little Rascals" dvd last night. You know the ones, made in the 1930's. Black and white even. I remember laughing like crazy while watching the show on TV when I was a kid. (No, I am not that old, they used to play reruns on Saturday mornings.) Well it was good to see that now in the days of Sponge Bob and a host of other ridiculous kids shows, my kids laughed like crazy at the Little Rascals. Yes, Alfalfa, Spanky, Darla, Chubby and Buckweat have still got it. In fact, I was laughing like crazy at my kids laughing like crazy. Even Sponge Bob can't make them laugh like that! One of the episodes from last night showed a group of kids playing in an orchestra. Obviously they weren't really the ones playing, but apparently my kids didn't realize that. A. said that it was amazing that little kids could play so well. PK said, "Well they didn't have video games way back then so kids had a lot more time to practice things and get really good." Hmmmm, ya think?

Oh, how funny. I'll have to check out the Little Rascals- I don't think I have ever seen an episode. Your cute family did such a great job yesterday. Aubrey is fearless! I love that song so much that I'm learning the words so I can sing it to my boys.

I have never seen the originals but I did love the movie. I keep thinking of great movies that I want to share with Ruby now that she is getting older...Pollyanna, Herbie, now this one! I love when it is one that I can actually enjoy too...instead of Dora:)

I love the Little Rascals!
I'm so glad to hear someone else was stummped and bugged at the Wheel of Fortune puzzle. That kind of stuff drives me nuts.
I'm excited to have a new "bloggin buddy"
