Yesterday was Trevor's birthday. His parents joined us for a family dinner. I won't say how old he is, but it's about halfway between 35 and 40! He doesn't seem too worried about getting older. In fact yesterday he made the comment that he's just happy to be having a birthday. For those of you who we haven't talked to in a while, I'll fill you in on the events of the past few months. Trevor was in an ATV accident in November and suffered a compression fracture in one of the vertebrae in his back (T12 for those of you medical folks.) The pressure of the fall caused the bone to "squish" together and protrude against his spinal cord. We were told several times that he was lucky to still have the use of his legs. He spent a few days in the hospital, a few weeks in bed as well as a few months in a back brace. The brace kept the bones in his back from moving so they could heal properly. It looked like a turtle shell that went from his armpits to his hips. So it kept him from being able to bend over or twist at the waist. We quickly learned that you need to bend and twist to do many things and he needed lots of help for awhile with basic things such as putting his shoes on. It was a tricky time for our family and a very difficult time for him as many people had to pitch in and help. We were so blessed by the service of many friends and family members. I knew I loved this man when I married him and I have loved him more and more as the years have gone by. But sometimes it takes a trip through the refiner's fire to make you count your blessings. He is my hero and the love of my life. His endless optimism and perfect faith will always be a strength to me. Trevor, I am so glad that you were around to celebrate another birthday. I look forward to growing very old with you!

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite friends! I'm sorry about your accident, wow, what a trial?!?! It's hard to believe that we've been friends now for about 16 years, funny how much has changed, huh? Hope your day was a good one, it was cool to see the pic of your family with your parents, hope they are well. Ben wants to know when we can get together and go out - preferably before June when I know I won't want to go anywhere:) If you don't know what that means, check out my blog now. You'll have to find a really old post, but lets just say that 7 is our lucky number.
Happy Birthday Trevor! Unfortunately now it's your turn to share the love! Let us know what we can do to help! Love you guys!
I hope you are feeling well today Lisa. We are praying for you. Tyler wants Ethan to come and play again. Can he just move in? Talk soon.
